...The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Nebraska... Salt Creek Near Ashland affecting Saunders County. Additional information is available at water.noaa.gov. The next statement will be issued this afternoon at 115 PM CDT. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Salt Creek near Ashland. * WHEN...From this morning to Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Local levees along the river are threatened with overtopping. In addition, substantial damages are occurring at the campground near Highway 6. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 21.4 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.5 feet on 05/08/2015. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
