Additional information is available at water.noaa.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening at 845 PM CDT. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...West Nishnabotna River at Hancock. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low-lying areas of Botna Bend Park in Hancock begin to flood. In addition, lowland flooding along the river begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this afternoon to 14.7 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late this evening to 6.8 feet Saturday morning. It will rise to 7.7 feet Saturday evening.
