South Skunk River at Colfax affecting Marion, Jasper and Polk Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Skunk River near Ames US 30, or from Ioway Creek to the Polk-Jasper County line. * WHEN...Until Friday evening. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Water affects the Shady Grove Trailer Park located at 1006 S Dayton Ave as well as the railroad just northeast of Cambridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.3 feet, and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.9 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 21.5 feet.
