South Skunk River near Ames W Riverside Rd affecting Story County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Skunk River near Ames US 30, or from Ioway Creek to the Polk-Jasper County line. * WHEN...Until Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Water affects the Shady Grove Trailer Park located at 1006 S Dayton Ave as well as the railroad just northeast of Cambridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 20.0 feet, and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 23.1 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 21.5 feet.
