Platte River At Sharps Station affecting Platte County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Platte River at Sharps Station. * WHEN...From late Friday night to Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Low-lying rural land along the river begins to flood. At 29.0 feet, Backwater from the Platte River floods Highway KK along the Little Platte River at the location 0.2 miles east of Highway B. At 30.5 feet, Interurban Road floods about 1.5 miles southeast of Sharps Station. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday morning to a crest of 29.4 feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
