The notice as issued
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Along the Little Blue River in East Central Nuckolls County in south central Nebraska and Central Thayer County in south central Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1031 AM CDT, As of 945 AM CDT Friday, the gauge along the Little Blue River north of Deshler was at 16.5 feet, which was just above minor flood stage of 16.0 feet. Meanwhile, at 1015 AM CDT the gauge at Hebron reported a stage of 13.5 feet, which was right at minor flood stage. As a result, minor, lowland flooding continues along the immediate reach of the Little Blue River from east-central Nuckolls County downstream across all of Thayer County. Based on trends over the last 12 hours, the river is expected to continue a very slow, gradual fall through the rest of today, and the gauges near Deshler and Hebron could slip slightly below flood stage by sometime Friday evening. However, there is some uncertainty regarding how quickly water levels will drop, and it is possible that areas along the river especially east of Hebron to the Jefferson County line could continue to experience minor flooding through at least early Saturday. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Little Blue River. - Locations immediately along the Little Blue River across Thayer and far eastern Nuckolls counties. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
