Des Moines River at Des Moines SE 6th St affecting Polk, Warren and Marion Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Des Moines River at Des Moines SE 6th St, or from below the Center Street dam to Runnells. * WHEN...Until Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, The bike trail is closed east of Water St. Water affects portions of other bike trails. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 24.3 feet, and falling. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.4 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
