* WHAT...Minor flooding along portions of the Solomon River near Glen Elder, KS. * WHERE...Southwestern Jewell County in north central Kansas... North Central Mitchell County in north central Kansas... * WHEN...Until noon CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is ongoing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1053 PM CDT, automated river gauges continue to indicate that minor flooding continues along the Solomon River in the Glen Elder area, as a result of heavy rainfall over the last few days. As of 930 PM CDT, an automated gauge near Glen Elder reported a stage of 22.5 feet, which was 1.5 feet above the minor flood stage of 21.0 feet. The river level continues to fall slowly tonight, though it will likely take until Friday afternoon before the water levels fall back below the minor flood stage. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Little Walnut Creek, Elm Creek, Solomon River, Ash Creek, Frog Creek, Browns Creek, Limestone Creek, West Limestone Creek, Granite Creek, Disappointment Creek and Turkey Creek. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Glen Elder and Ionia, but this Warning is mainly geared toward minor flooding along the Solomon River in the Glen Elder area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
