...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Nebraska... Little Blue River Near Fairbury affecting Jefferson County. .The river has crest earlier and a foot lower than forecast. It will continue to recede. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Little Blue River near Fairbury. * WHEN...Until Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, Frederick Street, located in the southwest corner of Fairbury, is closed due to high water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 18.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Friday was 19.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 8.0 feet Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 18.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.6 feet on 08/06/1985. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
