* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northwestern Henry IL County in northwestern Illinois... Mercer County in northwestern Illinois... Rock Island County in northwestern Illinois... Whiteside County in northwestern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 410 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that rainfall was continuing to move across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have already fallen. Law enforcement officials have reported several roads either partially inundated, or totally inundated with standing water and some are closed especially in Rock Island county. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.7 inches are possible in the warned area through 8 PM.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
