* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Greeley County in west central Kansas... Western Logan County in west central Kansas... Wallace County in west central Kansas... Wichita County in west central Kansas... * WHEN...Until 1145 AM MDT /1245 PM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 857 AM MDT /957 AM CDT/, emergency management reported an area of very heavy rainfall in Tribune, along with some minor flooding. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Leoti, Sharon Springs, Tribune, Weskan, Horace, Wallace, Selkirk, Marienthal and Lydia.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
