* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Greeley County in west central Kansas... Wichita County in west central Kansas... * WHEN...Until 900 AM MDT /1000 AM CDT/ Tonight. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 158 PM MDT /258 PM CDT/ Friday afternoon, emergency management reported ongoing flooding in the warned area. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Leoti, Tribune, Horace, Selkirk, Lydia and Marienthal.
What the agency told people to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
