* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of central and western Massachusetts, including the following counties, in central Massachusetts, Worcester. In western Massachusetts, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 456 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicopee, Amherst, Northampton, Greenfield, Orange, Deerfield, Ludlow, South Hadley, Belchertown, Palmer, Athol, Ware, Montague, Granby, Barre, Hadley, Warren, West Brookfield, Sunderland and Brimfield. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
