...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Rio Grande At El Paso affecting El Paso County. For the Rio Grande...including El Paso...Minor flooding is forecast to continue through the day. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rio Grande at El Paso. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding is occurring on area roads which has lead to road closures. Walking paths and parks located between the Rio Grande levees will be inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:05 AM MDT Thursday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:05 AM MDT Thursday was 9.7 feet. The river will continue to slowly recede through the next few days. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening and continue falling to 3.4 feet Monday evening. - Flood stage is 8.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.3 feet on 08/01/2006. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
