* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...East Central Dickinson County in central Kansas... Geary County in east central Kansas... Northwestern Morris County in east central Kansas... West Central Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas... * WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 651 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to storms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch is possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Junction City, Grandview Plaza, White City, Dwight, Parkerville, Latimer and Council Grove Lake. - This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 291 and 302... and between mile markers 310 and 315.
