...The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa... East Nishnabotna River near Atlantic affecting Cass County. Thompson River at Davis City affecting Decatur County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Thompson River at Davis City, or from the City of Grand River to the Iowa-Missouri border. * WHEN...From late Thursday night to late Friday night. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Widespread flooding occurs at the Davis City park including the campgrounds. Water affects Hwy R15 just north of the town of Grand River in northwest Decatur County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.6 feet, and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Friday morning to a crest of 12.4 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday evening. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
