Big Blue River near Blue Rapids affecting Marshall County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Buffalo Creek near Jamestown. * WHEN...Until Friday evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.7 feet, Farm field just north of Buffalo Creek on the northwest side of north 40th Road floods. At 16.0 feet, Minor flooding begins along the creek as the south bank overflows. At 16.9 feet, Farm field along the north bank of the Buffalo Creek floods. At 18.0 feet, The north bank of the Buffalo Creek Floods. Lowland flooding continues from 763 Road to the Republican River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:51 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.6 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
