...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Washington... Stehekin River at Stehekin affecting Chelan County. For the Stehekin River...including Stehekin...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue. * WHERE...Stehekin River at Stehekin. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, water inundates some properties and overtops the temporary corduroy bridge. Company Creek Road inundated at northern end. Battalion Creek culverts are beginning to be overtopped. Water begins damaging Wood Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM PDT Sunday the stage was 21.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 19.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 AM PDT Sunday was 21.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.5 feet late Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 20.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
What the agency told people to do
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. This warning will be in effect until the river falls below its flood stage. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Monday afternoon at noon PDT.
