...The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa... Wapsipinicon River near Anamosa Shaw Rd affecting Linn, Jones and Cedar Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near Anamosa Shaw Rd. * WHEN...From Monday morning to Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 14.5 feet, Lead Mine Road is completely covered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 14.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 14.5 feet.

What the agency told people to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued by Monday evening.
