* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Butler County in east central Nebraska... Southwestern Douglas County in east central Nebraska... Northwestern Sarpy County in east central Nebraska... Saunders County in east central Nebraska... Northwestern Cass County in southeastern Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 100 PM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1234 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wahoo, Ashland, Yutan, Ceresco, Valparaiso, Mead, Brainard, Weston, Dwight, Ulysses, Ithaca, Malmo, Leshara, Colon, Memphis, Lake Wanahoo Recreation Area, Memphis State Recreation Area and Two Rivers State Recreation Area. - For flood safety information, visit weather.gov/safety/flood.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
