For the Purgatoire River...including Purgatoire near Las Animas... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Purgatoire River near Purgatoire R near Las Animas. * WHEN...Until Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Minor Flood. Minor agricultural flooding occurs into low lying areas along the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:15 AM MDT Saturday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:15 AM MDT Saturday was 9.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.6 feet this afternoon.
