FFWTWC The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 345 PM MST. * At 1252 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area which extends from the Catalina Foothills into Casas Adobes and Oro Valley. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Catalina, Oro Valley, Marana, Casas Adobes, Flowing Wells, Tanque Verde, Tortolita, Catalina State Park, Catalina Foothills, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area and Seven Falls. This includes the following highways... Route 77 between mile markers 71 and 87. Interstate 10 between mile markers 243 and 253. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Silverbell Rd near Ina Rd, Camino De La Tierra at the Rillito River, Limberlost Rd from Soilder Trail to Homestead Ave, Overton Rd at Canada del Oro, Snyder Rd from Kolb Rd to Sabino Canyon Rd, Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste and E Wilds Rd at the Canada del Oro. This includes the following streams and drainages... Agua Caliente Wash, Bird Canyon, Esperero Wash, Ventana Canyon Wash, Sutherland Wash, Santa Cruz River, Oro, Caada del, Rillito River, Tanque Verde Wash, Sabino Creek, Chirreon Wash, Indian Well Wash, Big Wash, Pantano Wash and Chalk Creek.
