FFWTOP The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Shawnee County in east central Kansas... Northeastern Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas... South Central Jackson County in northeastern Kansas... * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 158 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Rossville, Silver Lake, Hoyt, Maple Hill and Willard. This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 340 and 349.
