FFWDDC The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Hamilton County in southwestern Kansas... Central Kearny County in southwestern Kansas... * Until 1145 AM MDT /1245 PM CDT/. * At 848 AM MDT /948 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 2 hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lakin, Syracuse and Kendall.
