Coconino County in north central Arizona... * Until 1015 PM MST /1115 PM MDT/ Tonight. * At 330 PM MST /430 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Paria River. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Paria River. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Paria River. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Paria Canyon, Paria River Slot Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and Lees Ferry. This includes the Colorado River near mile marker 0. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Lees Ferry Camp Site. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Colorado River and Paria River.
