FFWTWC The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Cochise County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 915 PM MST. * At 622 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area around Saint David. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen just east of Saint David. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... St. David. This includes Route 80 between mile markers 295 and 305. This includes the following streams and drainages... Slavin Wash, Escalante Wash, San Pedro River, Clifford Wash and Dragoon Wash.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
