FFWBMX The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Barbour County... Southern Bullock County... Central Pike County... * Until 1230 AM CDT. * At 934 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Troy, Union Springs, Midway, Clayton, Banks, Pickett, Aberfoil, Boot Hill, Barbour County Public Lake Dam, Beans Crossroads, Linwood, Comer, Spring Hill, Shopton, Troy University, Troy Municipal Airport, Hawkinsville, Perote, Mount Andrew and Tanyard. This includes the following highways... US Highway 82 between mile markers 183 and 194...and between mile markers 205 and 235. US Highway 231 between mile markers 78 and 88.
