Extreme Wind Warning: Saipan and Tinian, MP

EWWGUM The National Weather Service in Tiyan Guam has issued a * Extreme Wind Warning for... Saipan Tinian * Until 1230 PM ChST. * At 1032 AM ChST, satellite shows the center of Typhoon Sinlaku moving slowly north-northwest, just northwest of Tinian and Saipan. Extreme winds, associated with the eyewall, remain over the islands and are expected to continue into the early afternoon. The typhoon eyewall was moving north-northwest at 3 to 4 mph. Saipan and Tinian are currently in the outer edge of the eyewall, southeast of the eye according to satellite imagery. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION!

Widespread destructive winds in excess of 115 mph are expected. TAKE COVER NOW! Move immediately to an interior room in your shelter. Take action now to protect your life! The safest place to be during this situation is in a reinforced interior room away from windows. Put as many walls between yourself and the outside as possible. Remain in shelter through the passage of these life-threatening conditions.
