The notice as issued

High tides this afternoon may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible between 2:30pm and 4:30pm today, Saturday 18 July.  Tide levels will be high at Battlesbrigde, and Hullbridge riversides. Creeksea Ferry Road onto Wallasea Island may be flooded. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at Clacton of 2.87mAODN at 3:30pm today, Saturday 18 July which is 0.53m above tide tables, Wind Force 4, North easterly. Tides are expected to be higher than usual, due to the forecast weather conditions during spring tides.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .  This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 19 July 2026 or as the situation changes.
