The notice as issued

Strong winds and large waves this afternoon may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible from 4:15pm to 6:15pm on Wednesday 7th October.  Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers or on the coast, with spray being seen on the seafront paths. Flood gates in the area will be closed by the Local Authority which will make access difficult. Please take notice of the Flood Sign at top of South Beach Road. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at Kings Lynn of 3.11mAODN at 17:15pm, on 07/10/2026, which is 0.24m above tide tables, Wind Force 6, North Westerly.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Avoid seafronts and harbours due to wave overtopping and spray containing debris.   This message will be updated by 5:00PM on Wednesday 07 October or as the situation changes.
