Issue: The 1/4-inch chrome-colored bolts used in the spreader assembly on Louisville and Featherlite attic stairways manufactured on or before June 22, 2026, may not meet Louisville Ladder Corp.'s design specifications, posing a potential injury hazard.As of July 24, 2026, the company has received 1 report of an incident and no reports of injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 11 reports of incidents and 1 report of an injury. What you should do What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Louisville Ladder Corp. to obtain a free repair kit. Consumers with the affected units will receive a free repair kit containing two replacement ¼ inch spreader bolts, washers, and lock nuts with installation instructions.
