Joovy Tricycoo Tricycle-Stroller Recalled Due to Strangulation and Entrapment Hazards
Health Canada has issued a recall for Joovy Tricycoo Tricycle-Strollers because a storage bag cord poses a strangulation risk and seat components may cause pinching or shearing injuries.
What Happened
Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the Joovy Tricycoo Tricycle-Stroller does not meet the Carriages and Strollers Regulations in Canada. The product’s storage bag features a cord with a loop that extends into the occupant space, posing a strangulation hazard for children. Additionally, certain locations related to the seat may pose shearing and/or pinching hazards.
As of February 3, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Which Products Are Affected
This recall involves the Joovy – Tricycoo stroller with the manufacturing date 063021AF.
Approximately 109 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between October 2021 and February 2026. The products were manufactured in China and imported by EI Brand Management Inc. of St-Laurent, Quebec.
What You Should Do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled stroller and remove the storage bag located in the rear. To resolve the issue, consumers must contact EI Brand Management Inc and register on the company’s website to obtain a repair kit, which will be shipped once available.
Health Canada reminds consumers that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold, or given away. Any health or safety incidents related to this product should be reported via the Consumer Product Incident Report Form on the Health Canada website.
Why This Matters
This recall is significant as it addresses a potential strangulation risk and mechanical hazards that could lead to serious injury, ensuring the product meets mandatory Canadian safety standards for children’s gear.
