Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner Recalled Due to Burn and Injury Hazards

Dupray Industries Inc. has recalled approximately 747,000 Neat Steam Cleaners in North America following reports of boiler ruptures that caused burns and other injuries.

What Happened

Dupray Industries Inc. has issued a recall for the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner due to a risk of the boiler rupturing. This hazard occurs when the steam cleaner’s boiler is overfilled or extensively corroded and the pressure release valve (boiler cap) malfunctions. As of January 20, 2026, the company has received 15 reports of boiler ruptures, including four reports of injuries such as minor burns, bruises, lacerations, and a broken wrist. Additionally, at least seven reports of minor property damage have been documented.

Which Products Are Affected

This recall involves the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner, a cube-shaped home steam cleaner with a black flexible hose and handheld wand.

  • Batch/Date Numbers: 0118-01 through 0425-05 (Format: MMYY-XX)
  • Units Affected: Approximately 97,000 in Canada and 650,000 in the United States.
  • Sales Period: April 2018 through December 2025.

The model and batch/date numbers are located on a sticker on the underside of the steam cleaner base. Units bearing batch/date codes 0525-XX and later are not affected by this recall.

What You Should Do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner and contact the company for a free replacement boiler cap.
