Expected Conditions
Damaging northwesterly winds are forecast. For the Snowy Mountains above 1400 metres, winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts around 100 km/h are likely from late Thursday evening. For areas above 1900 metres, winds averaging 80 to 90 km/h are expected on Thursday evening. For the eastern part of the warning area above 1000 metres, winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts around 100 km/h are likely from Friday morning after sunrise.
