North to northwesterly winds strengthening ahead of a cold front. For the Macedon and Central Ranges: damaging winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h possible during Sunday. For the Northeast Ranges and Alpine Areas: damaging winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h likely during Sunday. Recorded gusts include 100 km/h at Mt Buller at 10:37 am and 96 km/h at Mt Hotham at 10:41 am.
