Damaging northwesterly winds averaging 65 to 75 km/h with peak gusts up to 110 km/h likely in Northeast Ranges and Alpine Areas from late this evening. Damaging northwesterly winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h possible in parts of the Macedon and Central Ranges from early Saturday morning. Damaging wind gusts with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h possible in parts of the Southwest from Saturday morning, most likely in showers and thunderstorms.

Damaging winds expected to develop in alpine areas from late tonight, extending to central and southwest parts on Saturday morning. Winds expected to ease from the Macedon and Central ranges late Saturday morning, from the southwest early Saturday afternoon, and from remaining areas during Saturday evening.
