Alert Details
The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a Major Flood Warning (IDQ20845) for the Warrego River in Queensland. This is the second flood warning issued for this event, following heavy rainfall recorded over the upper Warrego River catchment during the weekend.
Affected Areas
The primary areas under threat include the Warrego River at Augathella and the stretch of the river toward Charleville. Specific locations currently monitoring rising levels include Lochinvar, Augathella, and Bradley Creek. Major flooding is already occurring at Lochinvar.

- Warrego River at Lochinvar: Currently at 6.90 meters and rising (Major Flooding).
- Warrego River at Augathella: Currently at 2.33 meters and rising. It is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Monday afternoon and the moderate flood level (5.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. The river may exceed the major flood level (6.00 m) during Wednesday, March 11.
- Warrego River at Charleville: Currently at 0.98 meters and rising.
