Alert Details
A Major Flood Warning for Eyre Creek and a Minor Flood Warning for the Georgina River have been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM). This update was released at 12:01 pm AEST on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, and remains effective until 10 April 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning impacts areas along Eyre Creek at Bedourie and Glengyle, and the Georgina River at Marion Downs and downstream. Affected states include Queensland (QLD), Northern Territory (NT), and South Australia (SA).

For the Georgina River at Marion Downs, the level is at 3.55 m with minor flooding, expected to fall below 3.00 m from overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
