Alert Details
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a new Flood Watch (warning_id: IDT20625) for parts of the North, North East and North West catchments and the River Derwent. The alert is classified as moderate severity and was issued at 1:15 pm AEST on Thursday 3 September 2026, with an expiry time of 9:15 am AEST on Friday 4 September 2026.

Expected Conditions
A low pressure system and associated trough and cold front is expected to move across Tasmania on Saturday, bringing rainfall and thunderstorms. Catchments are wet following recent rainfall and are likely to respond relatively quickly to further rainfall.
