Expected Conditions

Heavy snow is forecast for the region. Total snow accumulations are expected to reach 15 to 25 inches over the western half of the Absaroka Range, while the eastern half is expected to receive 4 to 10 inches.

Wind conditions will be severe. West winds are expected to gust frequently between 35 and 45 mph. On Wednesday, wind gusts are projected to increase to 60 to 70 mph, with the strongest gusts occurring on the eastern side of the range. These conditions could make travel very difficult.
