The warning impacts the following maritime zones:

  • Waters from Cape Falcon to Cape Foulweather OR from 10 to 60 nm
  • Waters from Cape Foulweather to Florence OR from 10 to 60 nm

Conditions are expected to escalate in two phases:

  • Gale Conditions: South winds 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 12 to 17 ft at 10 seconds.
  • Storm Conditions: South winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 50 kt and seas 20 to 25 ft at 12 seconds.
  • Impacts: Extremely strong winds will cause hazardous seas that could capsize or damage vessels and significantly reduce visibility.
