Affected Areas
The warning covers the following maritime locations:
- Corpus Christi and Nueces Bays
- Copano, Aransas, and Redfish Bays
- San Antonio, Mesquite, and Espiritu Santo Bays
Impacted land-adjacent locations include Portland, Corpus Christi North Beach, Ingleside On The Bay, Seadrift, Rockport, Port O’Connor, and Downtown Corpus Christi.

- Move to safe harbor until the hazardous weather conditions have passed.
- Ensure that all individuals on board are wearing life jackets.
- Avoid remaining on the water as conditions can deteriorate rapidly.
Expected Conditions
At 6:15 PM CST, a line of strong thunderstorms was located from near Port Lavaca to 12 nautical miles northwest of Rockport, extending to 23 nautical miles west of Riviera Beach. The system is moving south at 30 knots.
Primary hazards include:
- Wind: Gusts of 34 knots or greater.
- Hail: Small hail is possible.
- Water Conditions: Suddenly higher waves and heavy downpours.
- Lightning: Frequent lightning strikes are expected within the storm cells.
