The warning specifically affects Fulton and DeKalb counties in Georgia. Impacted locations include the natural flood plain upstream and downstream from the gage on Buford Highway (Georgia Highway 13), as well as low portions of residential backyards on Victory Drive, Dunwoody Place, and Converse Drive.

Minor flooding is forecast for the North Fork Peachtree Creek. As of 6:15 PM EST on Thursday, the water stage was 12.6 feet and rising. The creek is expected to rise above the 13-foot flood stage, reaching near 13.5 feet. This height, combined with the flow on South Fork Peachtree Creek, may also produce flooding further downstream on Peachtree Creek in Fulton County.

The Flood Warning is effective as of 6:34 PM EST on February 26 and is scheduled to expire at 2:00 AM EST on February 27. While the river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening, the National Weather Service notes that additional rises are possible thereafter.
