The alert was issued at 4:45 PM CDT after local law enforcement reported that heavy rainfall from thunderstorms has made several roads impassable.

The warning covers northeastern Lee County and southwestern Prentiss County. Specific locations expected to experience flash flooding include Baldwyn, Guntown, and Bethany. Law enforcement reports that Water Street, Cemetery Street, and Fourth Street in Baldwyn are currently impassable due to flooding.
