  • Northern Dallas County in north central Texas

Specific locations expected to experience flash flooding include Dallas, Plano, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, McKinney, Carrollton, Frisco, Richardson, Lewisville, Allen, Flower Mound, Rowlett, Grapevine, Wylie, Coppell, Rockwall, Farmers Branch, University Park, and Sachse.

At 7:51 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.

  • Rainfall Totals: Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen.
  • Additional Accumulation: An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are possible through the morning.
  • Primary Hazards: Flash flooding of small creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
