The warning specifically covers central St. Landry Parish. Impacted locations that will experience flash flooding include:

Expected Conditions

According to Doppler radar, thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across the warned area. As of 9:12 PM, between 2 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible, and flash flooding is either ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Hazards include flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
