The warning covers the Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island. Forecasters note that the most severe conditions are expected north of Kipnuk, specifically impacting Toksook Bay and Mekoryuk. Areas from Kipnuk southward will also experience significant blowing snow.

  • Visibility: Blowing snow will reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less in many areas. South of Kipnuk, visibility is expected to stay around one half mile but may drop to one quarter mile at times.
  • Hazards: Severe winter weather including falling and blowing snow, strong winds, and poor visibility leading to hazardous travel.
