Grand Design RV is recalling approximately 300 vehicles because a water tank heating pad may fail, potentially leading to a fire.
What Happened
Grand Design RV, LLC has issued a recall for certain 2026 recreational vehicles due to a defect in the plumbing system’s freeze prevention equipment. The affected vehicles are equipped with a ThermaHeat Tank Pad that may experience high resistance and fail. According to the manufacturer, a failure in this heating pad can lead to an increased risk of fire.
Which Products Are Affected
The recall impacts approximately 300 units in total. The following models are included in this recall:
- 2026 Grand Design Lineage
- 2026 Grand Design Solitude
These vehicles are specifically those equipped with the ThermaHeat Tank Pad component.
What You Should Do
Owners of the affected vehicles are advised to park their units and park them outside until the issue is addressed. Grand Design RV is currently developing a remedy for this defect.
