KPCM New York Inc. is recalling 720 bottles of Preema brand food coloring powder in New York and Massachusetts due to the presence of a banned color and undeclared additives.

KPCM New York Inc. of Maspeth, NY, has initiated a voluntary recall of two varieties of Preema brand food coloring powder. The recall was issued because the products contain carmoisine, a banned color additive, as well as undeclared FD&C Yellow 5 and FD&C Red 40.

The recall affects approximately 720 bottles distributed in New York and Massachusetts. The products are packaged in small plastic bottles with a net weight of .88oz (25gm):
- Preema Bright Red Food Colour Powder: EAN 5021507271194; Batch No. 3757; Best before 05/2027.
- Preema Orange Food Colour Powder: EAN 5021507999463; Batch No. 3902; Best before 08/2027.

Why This Matters
