The warning covers several sections of the Victoria River system in the Northern Territory, including:

  • Upper Victoria River and Kalkarindji
  • Victoria River between Armstrong River and Wattie Creek
  • Victoria River between Battle Creek and Armstrong River
  • Victoria River below Battle Creek
  • Camfield River

Expected Conditions

Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast to begin Thursday afternoon. At Kalkarindji, the river level is currently 1.14 meters and steady, but it is expected to rise and may exceed the minor flood level of 9.00 meters by Friday morning. At Victoria River Crossing, levels were recorded at 13.36 meters and rising as of Thursday midday. River level rises are also occurring along the Camfield River and between Battle Creek and Wattie Creek.
